By chance, I've found myself in Albuquerque in exciting times. Michelle Obama spoke the other day, and Sarah Palin and John McCain will be here to speak tomorrow. It's also the beginning of the New Mexico state fair today. The burning of Zozobra, a yearly Native American event was last night-- and we burned away the years troubles.
One more subject of note that could get lost in all this excitement:
Mr. T. Boone Pickens is here to discuss his plan to decrease US dependence on foreign oil, to revive rural America by increasing our use of windpower, and to find cheaper and cleaner replacements for oil-- such as natural gas running cars.
It's called the Pickens plan.
I encourage you to read the plan. Making the necessary changes is a matter of national security as well as a chance to increase our economic well-being.
